Joan received an award from the State of Idaho for her 36 years of service; she was extremely proud of this recognition. She shared her love with people by feeding beloved family members, cherished friends, and countless baseball/softball team members and twirlers.

Always quick to give a hand to anyone in need, Joan took pleasure in helping others.Joan was preceded in death by her parents and husband.She is survived by: a brother, Tom (Diana) Green of Bothell, WA; a sister, Diana Schoeffler of Lewiston; a son, Gary Kroupa (Lisa and grandson Aaron age 13) of Elko, NV; a son Stacy Kroupa (granddaughter Madisyn age 6) of Elko, NV; and a daughter, Jodi Nelson (Eric and grandsons Hunter age 9 and Maddox age 6) of Wheat Ridge, CO.She was fond of quick-witted humor and enjoyed the company of many friends - new and old - over her 78 years.She was easily in the running for biggest fan' of both the Seattle Seahawks and Mariners, along with the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
